The Coast Hotel & Convention Centre at Cascades Langley
I think of this address first as a Langley City hotel, with the casino and convention centre attached rather than hidden in the background. The hotel is branded by Coast Hotels, while the casino is operated by Gateway Casinos & Entertainment. That distinction matters when you are choosing a room, asking about hotel services, or planning a stay with someone who will not enter the gaming floor.

The name on the building, and who runs what
The property is commonly described as Cascades Casino Resort Langley, but the hotel’s Coast Hotels naming is Coast Langley City Hotel & Convention Centre. In practical terms, I separate the stay into two parts: the hotel and convention centre are under the Coast Hotels brand, while the casino is operated by Gateway Casinos & Entertainment. Gateway’s corporate material lists the property as “Cascades Casino – Langley.”
The hotel address published in the fact sources for this guide is 20393 Fraser Highway, Langley, BC V3A 7N2. It places you in downtown Langley City rather than out on a highway edge. If you are arriving without a car, I would plan the last leg around TransLink service to Langley Centre and check current schedules before you leave; I cover the routes and the SkyTrain connection separately in getting there without a car.
The adjoining casino is part of the same resort experience, but it is not the hotel lobby. In British Columbia, casino entry is for people 19 and older, and government-issued photo ID is required at the door. Minors cannot enter the gaming floor. For a stay that includes family members or guests who simply do not want the casino, treat the hotel, restaurants and downtown Langley as the base, and the casino as a separate, age-restricted area.
A 77-room Coast hotel in downtown Langley City
The most useful published size for the hotel is 77 guestrooms. That figure comes from Gateway’s November 14, 2018 release about a phase-one renovation, which described new décor in all 77 guestrooms. Coast’s current public page does not publish a room count in the material I could verify, so I treat 77 as a medium-confidence figure rather than a fresh number from the live Coast page.
Coast Hotels publishes the room categories I use elsewhere on this site: Coast Two Queens, Coast King, Coast Queen with Sofa Bed, Coast Accessible Queen, Coast Hospitality Suite, and Coast Executive Suite with Balcony. Room sizes are not published in the facts available to me. If you care about a quieter side, a higher floor, a sofa bed, or an accessible bathroom, put that request in writing before arrival rather than assuming it from the room name. I keep the category-by-category notes on the rooms page.
The hotel amenities Coast publishes are simple and practical: free Wi-Fi, mini fridges, work desks and flat-screen TVs in the rooms; a fitness centre; and free parking for all hotel and convention centre guests. I do not add amenities the hotel does not publish. If a pool, shuttle, or other service matters to your stay, ask directly before booking.
Check-in, check-out and what to ask before you arrive
The published hotel times are check-in at 3pm and check-out at 12pm. Early check-in and late check-out are on request, and fees may apply. I read that as a polite “ask, but do not build your whole day around it.” If your flight, ferry connection or bus arrival brings you into Langley well before 3pm, plan a café stop, a walk downtown, or a bag drop only after the hotel confirms what it can do.
For official rates and Coast booking terms, use the hotel’s own site: coasthotels.com. This site is independent; I write the guide and handle room requests, but I am not Coast Hotels, Gateway Casinos, or BCLC. If you want that relationship spelled out, I keep a short note on about.
Coast also publishes two rate-related programmes: a Coast Rewards Member Rate, with savings starting at a minimum of 15% off the lowest advertised price year-round, and a Best Rate Promise that matches a lower online rate and takes an additional 10% off. I mention those as published policies, not as a price quote for your dates. Rates change, and the booking itself is always between you and the hotel or booking partner.
How the hotel connects to the casino and convention centre
The useful thing about this property is that the hotel, casino and convention centre sit together at one address. You can sleep in the Coast hotel, attend an event in the convention centre, eat at listed resort restaurants, or use the casino entrance if you are of age and carrying ID. For many visitors, that is less about casino play and more about reducing transfers, especially in wet Fraser Valley weather.
The convention centre is published as having 26,000 square feet of adaptable venue space with planning and catering. A 2018 Gateway release described a ballroom, five meeting rooms and an executive boardroom, with events up to 1000 guests. The detailed room-by-room capacity page was not available in the source pass for this guide, so I would confirm layouts directly if you are organizing a meeting or wedding. I keep delegate-oriented notes under the convention centre.
For meals, the current hotel page lists ATLAS steak + fish and Match Eatery & Public House. Other names from older Gateway or directory sources need caution, because I could not verify them on Coast’s current page. The practical dining guide is on restaurants, where I separate current listings from unverified older names.
Accessibility and pets, only as published
Coast publishes a Coast Accessible Queen room category with toilet grab bars and a roll-in shower. The hotel site also has a “Show Accessible Rooms Only” filter and a Notice of Accessibility link. That is helpful, but I would still be precise when requesting a room: say whether you need a roll-in shower, grab bars, step-free access, space for a mobility device, or another feature. Accessible inventory can be limited, and a general note is easier to miss than a clear request.
Pets are also addressed, but not in full. The published wording is: “Pets are welcome in some of our rooms, too.” The separate page that should have held fees and limits returned a 404 in the fact pass. So the honest guidance is simple: do not assume every room is pet-friendly, and do not assume the fee, number of pets, weight limit, or animal type. Ask the hotel to confirm the policy in writing for your dates.
If you are travelling with both accessibility needs and a pet, I would make the request early. Ask for the exact room type, confirm any pet terms, and keep the reply handy. It saves conversation at the desk after a long bus ride or highway trip.
Staying here without a car
Langley is still a place where a car makes the wider valley easier, but this hotel can work for a no-car stay if you plan around transit. The facts I could verify point to Langley Centre bus exchange at Glover Road and Logan Avenue as the local exchange. A September 2019 TransLink route table listed service including the 502, 503, 501, 320, 342, 395, 364, 531, 595 and local 560–564 and 372. Because TransLink pages can change, check TransLink before you travel rather than relying on an old route list.
The official Surrey–Langley SkyTrain project site says the current anticipated in-service date is late 2029. The project is described as a 16 km elevated guideway from King George Station to 203 Street in Langley City, with eight stations and transit exchanges at Bakerview-166 Street, Willowbrook and Langley City Centre stations. Until then, the SkyTrain-plus-bus pattern remains the planning frame for guests coming from Vancouver or Surrey.
Once you are here, the hotel is a base for downtown Langley, the Fraser Valley, and arranged day trips to farms, wineries or Fort Langley. I would not promise easy bus access to every rural stop unless a schedule confirms it. For the slower valley picture, start with the Fraser Valley, then request a room with your dates, arrival method and any room preferences noted clearly.
