The casino floor at Cascades Casino Langley, kept factual

I treat the casino here as one part of a hotel stay, not as the reason for the trip. Cascades Casino Resort is the resort name; Gateway Casinos & Entertainment operates the casino, while the adjoining Coast Langley City Hotel & Convention Centre is the hotel I focus on for room requests.

What Gateway published about the floor

The clearest official figures I could verify come from a Gateway Casinos & Entertainment release dated Nov. 14, 2018. In that release, Cascades Casino Langley is described as having “more than 70,000 square feet of gaming space,” “1001 slot machines,” “23 table games,” and a “5-table Poker Room with a linked Bad Beat Jackpot.” The same release also mentions a Crystal room, described as an intimate slot area.

I have not been able to verify a current official count from the casino’s own site, because cascadescasino.ca was unreachable during this fact pass. Secondary casino directories list similar or updated figures, but I do not use those as current official counts. For this page, I would rather give you the dated Gateway figures plainly than pretend to know the present floor plan.

The hotel beside the casino is a separate subject. The Coast Langley City Hotel & Convention Centre has 77 guestrooms by the 2018 Gateway release, and Coast Hotels is the hotel brand. If you are comparing the room side of the property, start with my page on the Coast Hotel or the more detailed notes on rooms.

Age, ID, and the door in British Columbia

British Columbia’s age rule is simple: you must be 19 years or older to gamble in B.C. Since June 26, 2023, every person entering a B.C. casino must present government-issued photo ID. The ID is scanned and checked against the provincial exclusion list, including Game Break enrolments; the published policy says data of admitted guests is not retained.

For travellers from Québec or France, this is worth noticing before you walk over from the lobby. Québec’s casino age is not the rule here, and an adult guest who is used to lighter ID checks elsewhere should still expect the B.C. door process. I would keep a passport, provincial photo card, or driver’s licence ready, and I would not assume a photo on a phone will do.

Minors cannot enter the gaming floor. This page is about the casino as part of the property; it is not a way to gamble online, and this site does not take wagers or connect you to gaming accounts. If your stay is mainly about transit, a room, dinner, or a Fraser Valley day, the practical planning pages will be more useful than any floor count.

Who regulates what

Commercial gambling in British Columbia is managed for the B.C. government by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, usually written as BCLC. The provincial regulator is the Independent Gambling Control Office, or IGCO, which “regulates all gambling in British Columbia.” The Gaming Control Act and IGCO took effect April 13, 2026, succeeding the former Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch.

That division of roles matters because Cascades Langley is not a private stand-alone gaming room making its own rules in isolation. Gateway operates the casino; BCLC manages commercial gambling for the province; IGCO regulates gambling in B.C. The Coast hotel, meanwhile, is the adjoining hotel and convention property. Keeping those lines clear helps when you are reading official pages, checking a policy, or asking the front desk a hotel question.

For help with gambling harm, the provincial support name to know is Gambling Support BC. Game Break is BCLC’s voluntary self-exclusion program, with terms of 6 months, 1, 2, or 3 years according to the available information. I keep the fuller help-focused explanation on the site’s responsible gaming page, because the hotel pages should not blur into gaming promotion.

How the casino fits into a stay without a car

If you arrive without a car, think of the casino and hotel as one downtown Langley City address for wayfinding, but with different operators once you are inside. The property address I verified is 20393 Fraser Highway, Langley, BC V3A 7N2. TransLink service information changes, so I keep the route planning on my getting there without a car page and suggest checking TransLink close to departure.

The published transit facts I can use say Langley Centre bus exchange is at curb lanes on Glover Road and Logan Avenue, and older route information includes service to Surrey Central, King George, Newton, White Rock Centre, Maple Meadows, and local Langley routes. I do not have a verified walking distance from that exchange to the casino door, so I will not invent one.

The Surrey–Langley SkyTrain extension is officially anticipated to enter service in late 2029. The project is described as a 16 km elevated guideway from King George Station to 203 Street in Langley City, with eight stations and transit exchanges at Bakerview-166 Street, Willowbrook, and Langley City Centre stations. Until that opens, the car-free route remains a SkyTrain-and-bus plan, not a direct SkyTrain ride to the hotel.

What I would plan around instead

For most guests I speak to, the better question is not how many machines are on the floor. It is how the property works for a night or two in Langley City: what room to ask for, where to eat, how late you are arriving, and whether you want a quiet morning before heading into the valley.

On site, Coast’s current hotel page lists ATLAS steak + fish and Match Eatery & Public House. Other food and drink names appear in older or directory sources, so I separate what is current from what is unverified on the restaurants page. Spa Tru is also at the address, in unit #2A at 20393 Fraser Highway, with medical aesthetics and spa services listed by the clinic; I cover that separately on the Spa Tru page.

If you have daylight and a little patience for local travel, Langley gives you the Fraser Valley rather than a single resort bubble, including local wineries in season. I keep those ideas general unless I have a verified fact to attach to them. For that side of the stay, see the Fraser Valley guide.
