About this independent desk for Cascades Langley stays
I write this site as an independent bilingual desk for people considering a stay beside Cascades Casino Resort in Langley City. My work is to sort the hotel facts, the transit notes, the age rules and the local context before you send a room request.

Who is writing, and who is not
I am not Coast Hotels, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment, BCLC or the provincial regulator. This is an independent review and room-request site, written from the point of view of a careful host who knows how many small details matter when you arrive in a new place.
The distinction matters here. Cascades Casino Resort is the resort name most travellers recognize. The casino is operated by Gateway Casinos & Entertainment. The adjoining hotel is the Coast Langley City Hotel & Convention Centre, branded Coast Hotels. I keep those names separate because they answer different questions: one page may concern the casino floor, factually, while another concerns the Coast Hotel, its published amenities, and what a guest can ask for at the desk.
The site is also bilingual in a practical way. English pages are written for visitors from British Columbia, elsewhere in Canada and abroad. The French pages are written for francophone travellers, especially people coming from Québec or France who may want plain notes on language, ID, age rules and getting around without a car. You can begin in French from l’accueil.
How I check facts
I use the fact file behind this site as the line I do not cross. If Coast Hotels publishes a room category, I may name it on the rooms page. If a room size, current rate or service is not published in the material I have checked, I do not fill the gap from memory. When a source is secondary, I say so in the page rather than polishing it into certainty.
Some details change quietly: restaurant listings, spa hours, transit frequencies, room availability and convention capacities can all move faster than a review page. For that reason I date factual checks where it helps the reader. For example, restaurant names and status belong on the dining page only when the source supports them. Transit pages use the route information available in the fact file and then send readers to TransLink for current schedules, because a missed bus is not a literary problem; it is a suitcase problem.
I also avoid pretending to know the guest experience of people I have not met. There are no invented quotes here, no unverified ratings, and no borrowed enthusiasm. Where public ratings can be reported properly, I handle them on the public ratings page.
What this site can and cannot do
This site helps you understand the property and send a room request. It does not operate the hotel, set rates, confirm room inventory, run the casino, or sell gambling. If a room request becomes a confirmed stay, the booking relationship is with the hotel or booking partner, not with me as the writer of these pages. I explain that plainly on how this site earns.
I do not encourage casino play. In British Columbia, casino entry is for adults 19 and over, with government-issued photo ID checked at the door. Minors cannot enter the gaming floor. That rule appears where it is relevant because visitors from Québec or overseas can easily assume the rules are the same as at home.
What I can do is help you ask better questions before you travel: whether you want a quieter room location, whether you plan to arrive by SkyTrain and bus, whether you need an accessible room category, or whether your visit is tied to a meeting at the convention centre. For practical arrival notes, I keep a separate guide to getting there without a car.
Corrections and contact
If you spot something that appears out of date, I want to know. A hotel page may change before an independent guide catches up; an official site may publish a new policy; a transit route may be revised. Please include the page address, the detail you are questioning, and, if possible, the official source that shows the update.
The site template carries the publisher and contact details. For room matters, use the room request form rather than sending personal travel details through a general note. That keeps dates, guest count, room wishes and preferred language together in one place.
I write slowly because the Fraser Valley rewards that pace. Langley is not only an address on Fraser Highway; it is a practical base for downtown errands, convention days, Fort Langley, farms, wineries and grey-weather weekends when the best plan is not to overfill the day. My job is to keep the guide useful, dated where it should be, and honest about what I could not verify.
